Tokyo’s Fashion Night Out

Last night, my most wonderful and dearest friend, Kyra, and I went to Tokyo’s Fashion Night Out. We set out via the trains around 5:00pm in search of a restaurant we had found online that immediately drew us in from the name: Sweets Paradise.

It did not disappoint.

Kyra and I both have a sweet tooth and Japanese desserts rate as some of the most delicious in this world. We walked in, each put around 1,500yen ($15) in a machine and out popped our tickets. We brought it to the ladies at the front desk and they ushered us back to our table. We were given a few instructions as to how the restaurant works (pretty much: stuff your face) and the next hour or so we indulged in some of the most delectable sweets I have ever had.

From there, we took a much needed mile walk (on a very big sugar high) to the beginning of the Fashion Night Out. Over 60 stores had their doors opened to the public while offering free drinks and other small collectables that signified the famous fashion night. It was so much fun.

Our favorites stores included Burberry, Coach (obviously — see below) and Louis Vuitton.

It was a wonderful, enjoyable girls night out that really included everything a lady could want: delicious food, great friends, fashion, and free alcohol!

What I Wore

Calling all fashionistas!

I bought these shorts online a few months ago and was so excited for them to show up in the mail. Once I received them though, I got a little nervous that maybe I didn’t like them as much as I did when they were featured on a model online.

So, today am asking all of you ladies: what do you think? Would you keep these or not?  They are not see through shorts, but the pockets do show through which is what bothers me about them. Any thoughts?

My New Tote

I have a friend who I’ve known for a few years now. Her husband is also in the Navy and we got to know each other while working together at Navy Federal Credit Union. She recently began selling these adorable totes. Last week she posted a couple options she had for sale and I snagged one up as quickly as I could.

Is this not the cutest bag ever?

I have so many different ideas on how I’m going to use it: diaper bag, purse, book bag…. I’m really into gray and yellow, so this is a perfect match. It is made very sturdy and you can tell a lot of love went behind it.

Thank you, Brianne, for this beautifully handmade tote! I was so excited when it came in the mail yesterday!

*Contact me if you want her contact info! She has other pretty patterns as well!

What I Wore

I need to make a confession – I didn’t wear any green yesterday. Gasp. I didn’t even realize it was March 17th until after I got dressed. My neighbor stopped by around 9am, with both her and her girls wearing all green, and then it hit me what day it was. Oops. But, then again, I’m not Irish so I guess I don’t feel as bad about it as I maybe should.

So, to make up for my lack of assertiveness yesterday, I wore my new green pants today. They arrived late last week and I’ve been so excited to wear them ever since! I’ve never had a pair of brightly colored pants before, so what do you think?

What I Wore Wednesday

Due to popular demand, I’m bringing the “What I Wore” posts back.

This is my favorite go-to outfit right now. Comfortable leggings, summer dress covered with a cute sweater, ballet flats, and accessorized with some jewelry.

Unfortunately, I suck at taking pictures of myself. And, my camera was adding an annoying shadow behind me. So, you’ll have to push past the awkwardness of these pictures and just concentrate on the clothes. Hopefully I can figure out a better system in the future. 🙂
